Karin Holmes
Karin Holmes is a writer and counselor and mum to three children – two girls here on earth and one baby in heaven. As a result of her loss, Karin has written the book ‘How to survive a miscarriage – a guide for women, their partners, friends and families’ and she hopes to help other families who have suffered from pregnancy and infant loss. Her loss has also guided her to open her own grief counseling practice, KarinH Counselling, where Karin helps families and individuals with practical support and guidance. Karin specialises in grief counseling and mental health support (depression, anxiety, PTSD and similar) but welcomes all enquiries.
Karin sees clients face to face but also offers online sessions via Skype and FB chat where people can get counseling in the comfort of their own home! This way, Karin can help people anywhere and almost anytime.
Karin’s book ‘How to survive a miscarriage – a guide for women, their partners, friends and families’ can be purchased here.
In her free time, Karin volunteers as a pen pal coordinator for Grieve Out Loud, an American based not for profit organisation, that helps to connect loss mums with one another and works towards ending the silence around pregnancy and baby loss.
